*Job Description – Database DeveloperRole Overview* We are looking for a skilled Database Developer with expertise in RDBMS and NoSQL technologies. The ideal candidate should be proficient in designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. *Roles & Responsibilities* * Design, develop, and maintain *database schemas, objects, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and indexes*. * Work extensively with *MySQL and PostgreSQL* for database development. * Implement *sharding, replication, and clustering techniques* to enhance scalability and availability. * Optimize queries and database performance through *indexing, partitioning, and query tuning*. * Develop and implement *database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions*. * Ensure *database security, encryption, and compliance* with organizational standards. * Work with *NoSQL databases* such as *MongoDB* and *Cassandra* to design and implement scalable solutions. * Collaborate with application developers and architects to design *efficient data models*. * Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in development and production environments. *Skills & Qualifications* * Strong knowledge of *RDBMS concepts* and practical experience with *MySQL and PostgreSQL*. * Hands-on experience in *database development, query optimization, and transaction management*. * Experience with *NoSQL databases* like *MongoDB, Cassandra*, etc. * Knowledge of *database security, encryption, and access controls*. * Familiarity with *replication, sharding, clustering, and high availability techniques*. * Understanding of *backup and recovery mechanisms*. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. *Good to Have* * Experience working with *cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL)*. * Scripting/programming skills in *Python, Shell, or similar* for database automation. * Exposure to *big data technologies* and data pipelines.
